Research on Human Subjects (Week III)

We'll read about the Nuremberg Code and other codes governing research on human subjects in another week.  Take a look at this article about a man who reported on the trial of the Nazis, and look at the primary sources linked in the story

  1. It is hard for me to understand how one involved in such an evil act of genocide can be acquitted of all charges..i.e. Hans Fritzsche was the director and head of of the radio division in the Propaganda Ministry. Propaganda was one of the Nazi's biggest weapon, if not the biggest. And the sole person in charge of this weapon was acquitted on charges on the basis of there not being enough evidence. I guess it goes to show that even after all of the evil was documented and proven, the goal of the Nuremberg trials was not just to reciprocate the same evil, but to bring justice to those who suffered the morally acceptable way.
