  1. The issue of health care reform is a touchy one. I don't think people can be required to pay for health insurance. However, those who do not have insurance ultimately have their bill paid by the taxpayers when they are treated by facilities that are required to treat everyone. Health care costs in this country are not cheap and are rising every day. There needs to be better control over the fees charged for procedures. The cost of insurance is becoming more expensive as well, sometimes to the point of being unaffordable.

  2. It would be great if everyone in the United States had the exact same coverage and everyone paid the same premium. Just as Lisa stated, we end up paying for those that don't have coverage in the long run anyway. A situation that drives me the most crazy is how a person can have insurance to have a baby but if the insurance doesn't cover everything a person is expected to pay "before" the baby is born. While those that are not insured at all don't have a thing to worry about.

  3. I think it would be vitually impossible for everyone to have the same premiums as well as coverage. In the grand sceme of things it would be nice but i dont beleive it can be accomplished. Our entire health care system would have to take an overhaul...everyone from doctors, nurses, non-clinical staff as a whole. Healthcare would have to main stream across the board and by doing so i think the care recieved would also decline.

  4. To fix the structural inefficiencies of our health care system is a major issue, debated by our politicians. Any confidence of changes occurring is slim to none. As Lisa mentions the taxpayers will pay the bill. Perhaps setting a price cap on procedures would help. Insurance companies has contracted pricing with providers. That could be the cap cost of procedures. The service by the doctors are less than 5 minutes anyway.

  5. I do not think the policy being put in place by Mr. Romney is dealing with the real problem- increasing health care cost. By making people buy insurance policies their rights are being trampled.
